The two-day 8th Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China came to an end in Wuhan yesterday (June 29th). During the meeting, overseas representatives and relevant domestic enterprises and public institutions carried out matchmaking negotiations upon over 300 projects and a total of 130 contracts or agreements of cooperation and communication projects were signed. In which: there are 95 projects on talent and technology introduction and 35 projects on comprehensive economy and trade; 55 overseas Chinese doctors will return to China to open 55 high-tech enterprises. The total investment amount in the contracts or agreements of the contracted projects is 7.196 billion RMB Yuan, among which there are 13 projects with investment over 100 million RMB Yuan. Overseas Chinese ventures from Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, Huizhou, etc. have signed 6 cooperation and communication projects with relevant parties of our province.
More than 500 overseas representatives attended this Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China, among which over 50% of them have got doctoral degrees and 75% of them attended the conference for the first time. More than 200 people from 8 teams including Chinese Association for Science and Technology-USA, US-China Automotive Exchange, Northern California Hubei Association, Federation of All Filipino-Chinese Community, Chinese Committee of Finland-China Friendship Association, Delegation of European Chinese Leaders, Delegation of Doctors Studying in Japan and Jiangsu Delegation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs on Trip to Hubei & Hunan attended the Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China by means of organizing delegation for the first time.
