On the 21^th, invited by the United Front Department of Xiaoshan District Party Committee and Xiaoshan District Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, the Presidents, Chief Editors and Reporters of 20 overseas Chinese medias from 13 countries and regions including Australia, Thailand, America, France, Japan, etc. paid a visit to Xiaoshan. District leaders Zhang Zhenfeng, Wo Yuexing and Fang Yi attended the meeting.

Zhang Zhenfeng, the member of the Standing Committee of Xiaoshan District as well as the Deputy Director of Management Committee of Xiaoshan Economic & Technological Development Zone, introduced the development of Xiaoshan Economic & Technological Development Zone to the guests. He hoped that the reporters could give precious opinions and constructive suggestions for the development of Xiaoshan Economic & Technological Development Zone, and with the power of overseas Chinese medias, Xiaoshan could be introduced to the world and more overseas compatriots and foreign friends could be attracted to invest here in Xiaoshan.

Wo Yuexing, the member of the Standing Committee of Xiaoshan District as well as the Director of the United Front Department, introduced the development of Xiaoshan’s economy and other social business in recent years. He said that this activity of “Xiaoshan Station, Hangzhou Visit of Overseas Chinese Medias” would further promote the friendly relations between Xiaoshan and overseas medias, enhance the understanding of Xiaoshan for our overseas friends and upgrade Xiaoshan’s international awareness and reputation.

While introducing the entrepreneurship and innovation of Xiaoshan, the Deputy District Head Fang Yi said that overseas Chinese medias’ visit to Xiaoshan would promote our entrepreneurship and innovation, and we would unceasingly exploit and innovate and cooperate sincerely with friends both at home and abroad to work hard on the construction and perfection of the innovation system.

The media groups carried out field visits at Xiaoshan Urban Planning Exhibition Center, Xiaoshan Innovation Center of Overseas Students, Xiaoshan Economic & Technological Development Zone, overseas Chinese-invested enterprise Hempel International, Oriental Cultural Park and Xianghu Scenic Area in succession. During the visits, Xiaoshan’ harmonious development of economy and culture impressed the reporters deeply. Everywhere they went, they carried out the recording with their cameras and video cameras without stopping.

Zhu Yaozhong, the Deputy Chief Editor of The Far Eastern Times, Japan, said that this was his second visit to Xiaosan and Xiaoshan has changed a lot from two years earlier; Xiaoshan has made progress in urban construction, scientific and technological park construction and leisure industry development; they must introduce this treasure place for investment with good nature, culture and social environment to overseas customers.
